To help kids form simple chenille shapes, first draw the shape on a piece of paper to act as a guide.  Place the paper on a flat surface and encourage the child to manipulate the chenille stem to match the drawing. This is especially helpful when forming letters!  read more!

When cutting faux fur, turn the sheet over and position the tip of the scissors under the backing fabric.  Cutting through the fabric rather than through the fur fibers makes for cleaner cutting.  read more!
