Our Privacy Policy
Fibrecraft.com will not share any information you submit to this site to any third parties.
- Fibre-Craft Materials Corp. is dedicated to providing website visitors with the best possible online crafting experience. Therefore we have created this privacy statement as an example of our commitment to your privacy and trust.
The following is our privacy statement and terms of use.
About The Information We Collect
Fibrecraft.com and its affiliate websites (creativehands.net, creativehands.com, springfielddolls.com) contain certain pages that are geared towards gleaning marketing information from visitors. The information we collect is non-personal (such as first name, age, city and state) and serves only as a way to research our products and our consumers. If you send us a question, comment, or request we will ask only for an e-mail address used for our response to you.
There are pages on our website that contain links to market research surveys. These surveys generally deal with the website, our products or categories of products. In these surveys we may ask for age or age ranges, gender, and other non-personal information. We use our online surveys to measure which areas, features, and products our users like the most and find most helpful, so we can continue to improve upon our products as well as the services contained in our website(s). Information gathered from polls and surveys are intended for internal use by Fibre-Craft Materials Corp. only, and will not be shared with any third parties.
Where we Use “Cookies” and I.P. Tracking
Fibrecraft.com and it's affiliate websites may use an open-source message board program called “YaBB”. Our version of this message board (The Craft E-Exchange) uses “cookies” to save passwords. A “Cookie” is a term that describes a small amount of data, stored permanently or temporarily on your computer in order to remember preferences, passwords, and other forms of data related to the user's visit to a specific website.
All computers and servers on the Internet are recognized by their I.P. addresses. Collecting I.P. addresses allows Fibrecraft.com to administer and analyze certain statistical data that we use to determine for example, what type of internet browsers our visitors use the most to view our site, what areas of our website(s) visitors find most interesting/informative, and what parts of the world our visitors are viewing from. In short, we use I.P. tracking to better understand how our site(s) are utilized.
Personal information cannot be collected from “cookies” and I.P. tracking technology. You should be aware that any personally-identifying information, such as your user name and email address, as well as any other information that you post to our message board (The Craft E-Exchange) may be directly collected and used by third parties. Therefore, you may be subject to unsolicited email as a result of your disclosure of such information. You should not assume there is any degree of privacy when communicating with other website visitors in our message board. We urge parents to instruct their children never to use real names, addresses or phone numbers when logged onto to The Craft E-Exchange message board.
Regarding Children's Use of this Website
While Fibrecraft.com encourages visitors of all ages to use and explore our website(s), we understand there are many products designed for children. Fibrecraft.com and its affiliate websites will never knowingly collect any personal information from children, nor will we ever require that a child submit personal information to our website. There are currently no features of our website(s) that are “Members Only” or areas made available to a privileged few, so there is no need to require personal information for registration purposes etc. If Fibrecraft.com learns that personal information of a child under the age of 13 has been submitted and inadvertently collected, we will immediately delete it from our system.
Fibrecraft.com cannot prevent a child under the age of 13 from sending e-mails or posting messages to our message board. We do not require anyone to disclose personal information to post in or otherwise use the Craft E-Exchange message board. If we learn that a child under the age of 13 has disclosed personal information in the Craft E-Exchange message board, we will immediately delete any personal identifying information from that specific post, topic, or forum.
