INSTRUCTIONS
- HEAD: (Note: When cutting fur, always cut through the backing rather than the fur fibers): Cut fur (Fig. 1). Reserve strip for ears, discard corner pieces. With backing side up, glue 6-in. disc in center of fur sheet. Fold around and glue fur to disc (Fig. 2).

- MUZZLE: Cut 1 fur sheet in quarters; (use 1 quarter for this project). With backing side up, glue 3-in. disc in center of fur piece. Fold and glue corners of fur on disc. Spot glue remaining edges onto disc.
- EARS (make 2): Cut reserved fur strip in half (7.5 in. each). Cut 1 wire into three 6-in. pieces; place on center of fur strip, backing side up. Fold fur in half around wires and glue. Form ear into a circle, overlap ends and glue together. Repeat for other ear.
- ASSEMBLE HEAD: Glue muzzle on lower center of head. Glue over-lapped ends of ears on top of head.
- FACE: For mouth, fold chenille stem in half; curve ends up as shown. Spot glue to muzzle. Glue on pom pon nose, eyes and eyeglasses.
- ARMS (make 2): Position 1 sheet of fur with backing side up. Trim 3 in. off 5 wires and glue long pieces on fur, 2 in. from 1 short end. (Wire ends will extend out from fur.) Place stuffing material over wires, extending to the end of the fur sheet. Fold and glue fur to form arm (Fig. 3). Glue fur together at open end. Twist wires together a few times.

- ASSEMBLE BEAR: For arms, hold foam rectangle vertically. Mark a point in the center, 2 in. down from top edge. Using an awl, make a hole at your mark. Squeeze cool glue into hole and around it. Push wires of 1 arm into hole; press fur into foam to hold. Allow glue to set. Repeat to attach other arm. For head, position head and glue chin on top center of foam with back of head flush with back of foam piece.
- HANGER: Hold 3 wires together. Lightly twist 1 wire around 3. Bend to form a “U”. Apply glue to the wire “U”, except on the top curve. Working on the back side, press “U” onto foam block so top loop is at back center of bear head. Spot glue wires to fur as needed for support.
- MESSAGE BOARD: Glue ribbon around cardboard edges. Glue ribbon on pad, if desired. Glue loop side of Velcro™ to back of pad and hook side of Velcro to cardboard. Attach pad to board. Glue cardboard centered on foam, under bear chin. Glue paws to board at sides. Wrap and glue 1 end of rattail around pencil. Glue other end behind cardboard. Clip clothespins to edges of board.
