    • White card paper scrap
    • Red marker
    • 3-in. red ribbon (1/8 in. wide)
  • Materials Needed for Graduate:
    • Felt Graduation Hat (2 in.) ( #7335-55)
    • Black Flexi-Foam™ Sheet ( #15200-55)
    • Yellow Flexi-Foam™ Sheet ( #15200-06)
  • Materials Needed for Both:
    • Wood Doll Head (38mm) ( #2738)
    • Acrylic paint (for hair)
    • Small paintbrush
    • Hole puncher
    • Pencil

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. SAILOR:
    • Use patterns to cut out blue foam shirt and small white triangle from card. Paint white trim on blue foam, use marker for stripes on triangle card.
    • Paint hair on head and let dry.
    • Punch hole in foam where indicated on pattern. Match to head hole. Glue.
    • Glue striped triangle shirt in place. Tie knot at ribbon center. Glue to lower triangle point.
    • Glue hat on head. Fold blue shirt in half and glue each side - leave opening for end of pencil.
  2. GRADUATE:
    • Use patterns to cut out black foam robe and yellow hood. Glue hood to robe as shown.
    • Paint hair on head and let dry.
    • Punch hole in foam where indicated on pattern. Match to head hole. Glue.
    • Glue hat on head. Fold the foam in half; glue edges. Leave opening for end of pencil.
