    • Light Blue Pom Poms (1.5 in.) ( #1576-32)
    • Light Blue Foam Sheet ( #15200-32)
    • Black Foam Sheet ( #15200-55)
    • White Foam Sheet ( #15200-01)
    • Blue Foam Sheet ( #15200-34)
    • Black Chenille ( #3225-55)
    • Wiggle Eyes (7 mm) ( #7018-55)
    • Pencil
    • Very fine black permanent marker
    • Scissors and/or craft knife
    • Crafty Glue ( #9145) or low-temp. glue gun

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Using patterns trace and cut out all shapes from foam, carefully following color guidelines.
  2. BODY:
    1. Glue pom poms together to form body following Fig. 1.





















    2. Glue all layers of the tail and each wing together, glue tail and 2 wings to body as shown.
  3. FACE:
    1. Glue black oval shape to face as shown.











    2. Glue thin black shapes to either side of face, corners will follow the curve of the black oval and pom pom.













    3. Glue white face to black shapes.











    4. Glue long blue shape to top of face and curving back around pom pom head.



















    5. Glue black “V” shape to face as shown above.
    6. Glue on wiggle eyes and draw eye details with fine black permanent marker (see photo.)















    7. Glue the 2 crests side-by-side to the top of the head as seen in the diagram.
















    8. Cut a small piece of black chenille, approximately 5/8 in. long. Bend into a beak form and glue to face inside the black “V” shape.
  4. FEET:
    1. Cut two pieces of black chenille 2.25 in. long. Bend at one end as seen in photo.
    2. Cut two pieces of black chenille .75 in long. Loop around the un-bent end of legs and form two front toes on each foot.
    3. Cut two pieces of black chenille .5 in. long. Loop around “heel” and form back toe on each foot.
