INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut a 24-in. length of each color of lace. Pull through key chain so that there are 4 even strands. Pull the two pink laces to the right and the two blue laces to the left.

  2. Tie key chain to table leg or another object to keep it stationary.
  3. With the far right lace, pull under the next 2 laces to the left, and fold over the 2nd lace as shown. Tighten.

  4. Repeat with the far left lace, pulling it under the next 2 laces to the right and folding it back over the 2nd. Tighten.

  5. Note: If you are doing the diamond braid correctly, the two pink laces will always be on the right and the two blue ones will always be on the left. Always keep your work tight and keep the same flat side of each lace towards middle of braid for a neat look.

  6. When braid is the desired length, tie in a tight knot and trim the ends at slightly varying lengths. Thread a bead onto each, and tie each end in a knot until knot is large enough to keep bead from slipping off. Trim ends.
