Fall Basket
- Difficulty Level: Beginner
- Materials Needed:
- Silk flowers in fall colors (orange, red, yellow, and dark purple)
- 1 large basket
- Heavy Duty Wire Cutters (
#1099) - Green Stem Wire ( #6393)
- Floral Picks (2.5 in.) ( #82892-40)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Plan placement of silk flowers by using the largest flowers as focal points. Place the largest flowers opposite each other so the design is balanced. Tip: Arrange flowers on table beforehand for best layout.
- Using heavy duty wire cutters, cut the silk flower stem 2 in. below the flower head. This leaves enough stem to anchor to the floral pick.
- Gather a small bunch of flowers and tie to a floral pick (see below).
- Insert bunches into the basket’s outer edge at an angle so that the stem is disguised by the basket weave as shown below.
Tip: Use green stem wire to further secure the flower to the basket if needed. This will allow you to remove the decorations and reuse for another season!
