Hula Doll

  • Difficulty Level: Beginner
  • Materials Needed:
    • 7.5 in. Doll ( #3000-99)
    • Raffia
    • 1.25 in. of printed ribbon (1.5 in. wide)
    • Small (1 in. diameter or less) silk flowers
    • Needle and strong thread
    • Hot glue gun
    • Scissors or craft knife

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Twist ribbon in center and glue to center of doll’s chest. Wrap ends to back and glue to back.
  2. Cut 4-in. lengths of raffia and glue 2-3 layers around hips. Trim evenly at the bottom. Wrap a long piece of raffia on top of ends at doll’s hips. Glue to secure.
  3. LEI: Pull flower blossoms off stems and tread on needle: about 7 in. long. Tie ends together. Place around doll’s neck.
  4. Glue one blossom to side of doll’s head.
