SPECIAL STITCH: js (jump stitch): Draw up a lp in next st of previous row, below the row you are working - 2 lps
now on hook, yo and draw through both lps on hook. Do not work in the current row behind js. This will create the zigzag pattern on dress.
PANTS
Starting at waist edge, ch 30. Being careful not to twist ch length, join with sl st to first ch to form a circle, ch 1.
RND 1 (right side): Sc in same ch as joining and each rem ch around, join with sl st to first sc (30 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 2: Sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join to first sc (30 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 3: Sc in same sc as joining and next 3 sc, * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc; rep from * around to last sc, 2 sc in last sc, join (36 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RNDS 4-9: Sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (36 sc). Ch 1, do not turn. At end of Rnd 9, ch 4 (in place of ch 1 – for crotch), do not turn.
LEFT LEG
RND 10: Sk joining sc and next 17 sc (for right leg), (sl st, ch 1, sc) in next sc, sc in next 17 sc, sc in 4 chs across crotch, join (22 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RNDS 11-33: Sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (22 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.

RND 34 (twisted edge - see figure above): Work reverse sc in each sc around (to reverse sc: working from left to right, insert hook from front to back in next sc to right of hook, yo and draw up a lp, yo and draw through two lps on hook), join to first sc (22 reverse sc). Finish off, weave in ends.
RIGHT LEG
With waist edge and back joining seam facing you, rejoin white with sl st to first unworked sc from Left Leg Rnd 10 (next to left leg), ch 1.
RND 1: Sc in same sc as joining and next 17 unworked sc around leg opening, sc in 4 chs across crotch, join to first sc (22 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RNDS 2-25: Rep Left Leg Rnds 11-34.
WAIST EDGING
With right side and bottom edge of legs facing you, join white to first ch to right of back joining seam at waist edge, ch 1. Work reverse sc in each ch around waist, join (30 reverse sc). Finish off, weave in ends. Set pants aside.
SIDE FRINGE (make 14)
Leaving 1 1/2-in. starting length, ch 10. Finish off leaving a 1 1/2-in. end.
PANTS FINISHING
STEP 1: With front of pants facing you, flatten pants to determine sides of legs. Pull one ch length around 1 sc at side of Pants Rnd 1 (just under waist edging). Working in a straight line down side of leg, pull 1 ch length around 1 sc of every 5th rnd (7 ch lengths per leg). Pull ch lengths even. Rep for other side of pants.
STEP 2: Using a tapestry needle, thread both ends of a ch length into a silver pony bead. Slide bead up onto ch length close to pants. Trim ch ends to 1/2" (13mm). Rep procedure for 13 more ch lengths.
STEP 3: Place pants on doll.
VEST
BACK
Starting at neck edge, ch 19.
ROW 1 (wrong side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each rem ch across (18 sc). Do not ch, turn. Using contrasting yarn or small safety pin, mark wrong side.
ROWS 2-20: Sc in each sc across (18 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 21: Sk first sc, sc in next 16 sc, sl st in last sc (16 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 22: Sk first sl st, sc in next 14 sc, sl st in next sc, sk last sc (14 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 23: Sk first sl st, sc in next 12 sc, sl st in next sc, sk last sc (12 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 24: Sk first sl st, sc in next 10 sc, sl st in next sc, sk last sc (10 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 25: Sk first sl st, sc in next 8 sc, sl st in next sc, sk last sc (8 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 26: Sk first sl st, sc in next 6 sc, sl st in next sc, sk last sc (6 sc). Finish off, weave in ends.
LEFT FRONT
With wrong side and bottom edge of vest facing you, rejoin white with sl st to first ch at right edge, ch 1.
ROW 1: Sc in same ch as joining and next 5 chs, sk rem chs (for back neck edge and right front) (6 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROWS 2-20: Sc in each sc across (6 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 21: Sk first sc, sc in last 5 sc (5 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 22: Sc in first 4 sc, sl st in last sc (4 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 23: Sk first sl st, sc in last 4 sc (4 sc). Finish off, do not turn.
RIGHT FRONT
With wrong side and bottom edge of vest back facing you, sk first 6 skipped chs from Vest Left Front Row 1 (for back neck edge). Rejoin white to next ch, ch 1.
ROW 1: Sc in same ch as joining and each rem ch across (6 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROWS 2-20: Sc in each sc across (6 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 21: Sc in first 5 sc, sl st in last sc (5 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 22: Sk first sl st and sc, sc in last 4 sc (4 sc). Do not ch, turn.
ROW 23: Sc in first 3 sc, sl st in last sc (3 sc). Finish off, weave in ends.
VEST EDGING
With right side and back neck edge of vest facing you, join white to center sc at bottom edge of vest back, ch 1. Sc in every st and row end around entire vest, working (sc, ch 1, sc) in each front lower inside corner, join to first sc. (Mark ch-1 sps at each corner.) Finish off, weave in ends.
VEST FINISHING
STEP 1 (fringe): Working with wrong side facing you, starting at a marked ch-1 sp at front lower inside corner and ending at the other ch-1 sp at the other corner, latch hook one 7" (18cm) piece of yarn to each sc (figure below) around outside edge of vest. Trim all vest fringe to 2" (5cm). Remove all markers.

STEP 2: (Vest Side Ties – make 2): Leaving a 11/2" (4cm) starting length, ch 35. Finish off, leaving a 11/2" end. Pull 1 ch length through side edge of front and back at the curve. Pull ch length even. Using tapestry needle, thread both ends of ch length into a silver pony bead. Slide bead up onto ch length about 1/2" (13mm) from vest. Trim ch ends to 1/2". Rep on other side with 2nd ch length.
MOCCASINS (make 2)
Starting at center of moccasin sole, ch 8.
RND 1 (right side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 5 chs, 3 sc in last ch. Continuing around opposite side of starting ch, sc in next 5 chs, 2 sc in last ch, join to beg sc (16 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 2: Work 2 sc in same sc as joining, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc (toe end), sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in last 2 sc, join (22 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RNDS 3-4: Sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (22 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 5: Working in back lp of sts for this rnd only (front lps rem unworked), sc in same sc as joining and next 7 sc, * dec over next 2 sc (to dec: draw up a lp in next 2 sts – 3 lps now on hook, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook); rep from * once more, sc in last 10 sc, join (20 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 6: Sc in same sc as joining and next 6 sc, (dec over next 2 sc) twice (mark last dec for start of moccasin collar), sc in last 9 sc, join (18 sc). Finish off, do not turn.
MOCCASINS COLLAR
With right side of moccasin facing you, rejoin yarn to front lp of marked sc at front of moccasin, ch 1. Remove marker.
ROW 1: Working in front lp of sts for this row across edge of moccasin (back lps rem unworked), sc in same sc as joining and next 17 sc (18 sc). Ch 1, turn.
ROW 2: Working in front lp of sts only (back lps rem unworked), sl st in each sc across. Finish off, weave in all ends.
MOCCASINS FINISHING
STEP 1: Cut a 13 in. piece of yarn. Using tapestry needle and leaving 4 in. starting length, begin at center front and weave piece through sts of Moccasins Rnd 6 (just below collar), ending with 4 in. end at center front. Rep for other moccasin.
STEP 2 (beads): Procedure to thread beads: Cut off eye of wire beading needle (or use very fine wire) and fold in half. Place yarn in fold. Insert needle (or wire) ends through bead hole and pull yarn through (figure below). Remove needle (or wire). Using thread procedure above, thread 1 turquoise giant seed bead, 1 red giant seed bead, and 1 turquoise giant seed bead on each yarn end. Do not tie. Rep for other moccasin.

STEP 3: Place moccasins on doll's feet. Pull yarn ends to fit and tie tog in a knot above beads. Push heads up to knot. Knot each yarn end about 1/2-in. below beads. Trim ends. Fold moccasin collar down.
NECKLACE
Note: Use 3/4-in. safety pins for connectors (A) and have all connector pin heads facing to the outside edge of necklace. After loading each safety pin, close pin and pinch pin head with pliers to keep it from popping open.

PIN UNIT (Make 6)

Lay Pin Unit on flat work surface and flip up 3 turquoise Units so all beads are facing you. Refer to above figure to continue.
Following figure below, begin at lower left front and work up left side of necklace as it faces you (Note: Follow steps in numerical order.)

HAIR DECORATION
STEP 1: Cut a 10 in. piece of black cord. Pull top section of hair to the back. Place cord around this section of hair. Pull ends even and tie into a double knot. Let cord ends hang down.
STEP 2: Pass stem of 1 jewelry feather through 1 silver pony bead. Hot glue feather in place. Repeat with last 2 beads and feathers. Hot glue sides of pony beads tog in a row (figure below.)

STEP 3: Tie ends of cord around center feather just above bead (placing turquoise side of feather to the front) and over knot made in Hair Decoration Step 1.
STEP 4: Using beading needle (or fine wire), thread each cord end into 4 seed beads (varying colors). Knot each cord end. Slide beads down to knot.
BLANKET
Note: Work blanket loosely to get the following gauge:
4 sc + 3 ch-2 sps = 2 in. (5cm)
7 rows = 2 in.
With white, loosely ch 23.
ROW 1 (right side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * ch 2, sk next 2 chs, sc in next ch; rep from * across (7 ch-2 sps). Do not ch, turn.
ROWS 2-23: Sc in first sc, * ch 2, sk next 2 chs, sc in next sc; rep from * across (7 ch-2 sps). Do not ch, turn. At end of Row 23, finish off, weave in ends.
BLANKET FINISHING
STEP 1: Cut eight 1-yard (1m) pieces of black, ten 1-yard pieces of red, and eleven 1-yard pieces of turquoise.
STEP 2 (weaving): Use tapestry needle and leave a 3" (8cm) starting length (for bottom fringe). Work up vertical rows of ch-2 sps and let ends hang at the top (for top fringe).
- With beg ch edge and right side of blanket facing you, starting on right side over starting ch at the bottom, weave 1 piece of doubled red yarn through center of first vertical row of ch-2 sps, ending on wrong side of last row. Sk next ch-2 vertical row and rep weaving pattern in 3rd ch-2 vertical row. Rep weaving pattern in every other ch-2 vertical row (4 red vertical rows worked).
- Working up center of 2nd, 4th, and 6th ch-2 vertical rows (between woven red vertical rows) with turquoise, rep weaving pattern (3 turquoise vertical rows worked).
- Starting on wrong side under starting ch at the bottom, weave a turquoise strand on either side (in same ch-2 sp) of each red woven strand and weave a red strand on either side (in same ch-2 sp) of each turquoise woven strand. (These strands will go over the ch-2 that center strand goes under and they will go under the ch-2 that center strand goes over.)
- Starting on right side over starting ch at the bottom, weave a black strand through sc vertical rows at each edge of blanket and sc rows between each vertical row of ch-2 sps.
