DRESS FINISHING
STEP 1: Sew 3 sets hooks and eyes to back dress opening: one set at neck edge, one set at waist, and one set evenly spaced between.
STEP 2: Thread a tapestry needle with a 140" piece of orange yarn and, starting on wrong side of petal at back waist, loosely weave yarn around petal, bringing yarn up in first ch of Petal Trim Row 2 and back down in 2nd ch of trim, skipping sl sts. Work around all 7 petals, ending on wrong side at waist. Secure ends.
STEP 3: Hot glue or stitch first sc row of calyx to underside of first row center of each petal.
STEP 4: Cut seven 3" pieces of light yellow yarn. Working 2 petals at a time, tie edges of petals tog, at a point about 4" above petal point, leaving petal sides open between ties and waist. Trim ends close.
STEP 5: Place a small drop of hot glue in “ditch” at waist, at center of petal (between orange row of bodice and first yellow row of petal). Pinch top of petal and bodice tog from underneath until set. Rep for each petal.
STEP 6: Insert music box into opening in doll’s back.
STEP 7: Cut two 18" pieces of 1/4" yellow grosgrain ribbon. Fold each ribbon in half and mark center. Measure 13/8" to each side of center mark and fold at these points. Being careful not to twist ribbon, sew these points to wrong side of bodice, approximately 1/8" toward center front and back of each armhole at Bodice Row 1 (just below ruffle), keeping long ends of ribbons to outside of dress. (Ribbons are positioned so they will cover doll’s shoulder seam.) Place dress on doll with ribbon straps over doll’s shoulder. Tie long ends of ribbons into small bows over ribbon straps on shoulders. “V” notch ribbon ends.
STEP 8: Cut two 15" pieces of 1/4" green picot edged satin ribbon. Turn under 1/4" of one ribbon end and sew or hot glue to back waist edge. Rep with other piece of ribbon, attaching it to other waist edge. (Do not close back opening.) Bring ribbons around to front and tie in a small bow just to left of center front waist. Trim ribbon ends on an angle and let them hang down front of petals.
STEP 9: Separate flower cluster and cut off stems. Glue 3 small flowers tog, in a row, over bow at waist. Glue 3 large flowers tog, in a row, over bow on right shoulder.
STEP 10: Stand bodice ruffle up around shoulder and arrange top into small ruffles. Shape petals so that centers of petals “puff out” to right side and tips of petals point upward.
HEADBAND FLOWERS
Starting at petal base of flower with bright yellow, ch 2.
RND 1 (right side): Work 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join to first sc (7 sc).
Ch 3, do not turn.

RND 3: With right side facing you, join orange to first unworked front lp from Headband Flower Rnd 2, ch 2. Working in unworked lps, dc in same lp as joining and in each rem lp around, join to top of beg ch-2 (7 dc – not counting beg ch-2). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 4: (Sc, ch 1) in each dc around, join to beg sc (7 sc). Finish off, pull all ends to wrong side and weave in.
HEADBAND FLOWER FINISHING
STEP 1: Cut a 22" piece of 1/4" green picot-edged satin ribbon and tie around doll’s head with bow at the top. Glue flower to center of bow. Trim ribbon ends on an angle.
STEP 2: Overlap petals and shape petal points up toward flower center.
