SPECIAL STITCH: js (jump stitch): Draw up a lp in next st of previous row, below the row you are working - 2 lps

(Note: For smoother back opening, do not ch 1 at end of Rows 4 through 17.)
BODICE WITH DROPPED WAIST
Starting at neck edge with white and size E hook, ch 18.
ROW 1 (wrong side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each rem ch across (17 sc). Ch 10, turn.
ROW 2: Sk first sc, sl st in next sc, * ch 7, sk next sc, sl st in next sc ** , rep from * to ** once more, † ch 10, sk next sc, sl st in next sc ††; rep from † to †† once more. Rep from * to ** twice more, rep from † to †† once more (4 ch-10 lps, 4 ch-7 lps) Finish off, turn.
ROW 3: With white and size E hook, ch 2. With wrong side facing you, sc into center of first lp, * ch 6, sc into center of next lp; rep from * across (8 sc, 44 chs). Ch 3, turn.
ROW 4: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each rem ch and sc across (54 sc). Turn.
ROW 5 (armhole shaping): Sc in first 6 sc, ch 3, sk next 12 sc (for left armhole- fold skipped sts away from you), sc in next 18 sc, ch 3, sk next 12 sc (for right armhole- fold skipped sts away from you), sc in last 6 sc (30 sc). Turn.
ROW 6: Sc in each sc and ch across (36 sc). Turn.
ROW 7: Sc in first 11 sc, * dec over next 2 sc (to dec: draw up a lp in next 2sts- 3 lps now on hook, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook); rep from * 2 times more, sc in next 2 sc, (dec over next 2 sc) 3 times, sc in last 11 sc (30 sc). Turn.
ROWS 8-9: Sc in each sc across (30 sc). Turn.
Row 10: Sc in first 5 sc, (dec over next 2 sc) 2 times, sc in next 12 sc, (dec over next 2 sc) 2 times, sc in last 5 sc (26 sc). Turn.

With right side still facing you, using size G hook, rejoin white with sl st to first sc at right back dropped waist edge, ch 3.
ROW 1: Working in back lp of sts for this row only (front lps will be used for Front Skirt Top Ruffle and Back Train), dc in same sc as joining and next dc, * 2 dc in next sc, dc in next sc **; rep from * to ** 6 times more, dc in next 9 sc; rep from * to ** 7 times more, 2 dc in last sc, join with sl st to top of beg ch-3 (to close back opening) (55 dc- not counting beg ch-3). Ch 3, do not turn.
(Note: You will now be working in rnds instead of rows.)
RNDS 2-11: Dc in each dc around, join (55 dc-not counting beg ch-3). Ch 3, do not turn.
RNDS 12: Working in back lp of sts for this rnd only (front lps will be used for Skirt Bottom Ruffle), dc in each dc around, join (55 dc). Ch 3, do not turn.
RNDS 13-14: Dc in each dc around, join (55 dc). Ch 3, do not turn. At end of Rnd 14, ch 1 (in place of ch 3), do not turn.

SKIRT BOTTOM RUFFLE
With back neck edge of dress facing you, using size G hook, join white to first unworked lp from Skirt Rnd 12 at back joining seam, ch 1.
RND 1: (Sc, ch 2) in same lp as joining and each rem unworked lp around, join to first sc (55 ch-2 lps). Do not ch, do not turn.
(Note: With contrasting yarn or small safety pin, mark first sc of next rnd. Move marker to first sc of each new rnd.)
RND 2: (Sl st, ch 1, sc, ch 2) in first ch-2 lp, (sc, ch 2) in each rem ch-2 lp around, join to first (marked) sc (55 ch-2 lps). Do not ch, do not turn.
RND 3: (Sl st, ch 1, sc, ch 3) in first ch-2 lp, (sc, ch 3) in each rem ch-2 lp around, join (55 ch-3 lps). Do not ch, do not turn.
RND 4: (Sl st, ch 1, sc, ch 3) in first ch-3 lp, (sc, ch 3) in each rem ch-3 lp around, join (55 ch-3 lps). Do not ch, no not turn.

RND 8 (Scalloped edge): (Sl st, ch 2, 3 trc, ch 2) in first ch-2 lp, * sc in center of ch-5 lp, ch 2, (3 trc, ch 2) in next ch-2 lp: rep from * around to last ch-5 lp, sc in last ch-5 lp, join to top of beg ch-2 (55 scallops). Finish off, weave in ends. Push fullness of scallops to wrong side.
SLEEVES (make 2)
With right side and bottom of skirt ruffle facing you, using size G hook, join white to 2nd (center) ch at underarm, ch 1.
RND 1: Sc in same ch as joining, (sc, ch 2) in next ch, (sc, ch 2) in next 12 unworked sc from Bodice Row 5 (around top of armhole), sc in last ch at underarm, join to first sc (13 ch-2 lps). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 2: Sc in same sc as joining, (sc, ch 2) in next sc, (sc, ch 2) in next ch-2 lp and each rem ch-2 lp around, sc in last sc, join (14 ch-2 lps). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 3: Sc in same sc as joining and next sc, (sc, ch 2) in next ch-2 lp and each rem ch-2 lp around, sc in last sc, join (14 ch-2 lps). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 4: Sk joining sc, (sc, ch 2) in next 2 sc, (sc, ch 2) in next ch-2 lp and each rem ch-2 lp around, sc in last sc, join
(16 ch-2 lps). Ch 3, turn.
(Notes: 1. You will now work 7 short rows instead of rnds. For these rows you will work in lps only- sk all sc. 2. Mark beg ch-3 lps in Rows 5-11- for pick up in Row 12.)
RND 5: Sk first ch-2 lp, (sc, ch 2) in each rem ch-2 lp across to last ch-2 lp, sc in last ch-2 lp, do not join (14 ch-2 lps, one ch-3 lp). Ch 3, turn.
ROWS 6-11: Sk first ch-2 lp, (sc, ch 2) in each rem ch-2 lp across to last ch-2 lp, sc in last ch-2 lp, sc in last ch-2 lp, sk marked ch-3 lp from beg of previous row. Ch 3, turn. At end of Row 11, do not ch 3. You will now have 2 ch-2 lps and one ch-3 lp at beg of row. Finish off, turn.
ROW 12: Change to size E hook. With right side and bottom of skirt ruffle facing you, rejoin white to sc of Rnd 4 at center underarm, ch 1. Sc in same st as joining. Working around sleeve opening, sc in next 3 marked ch-3 lps, 2 sc in next ch-2 lp, sc in next ch-2 lp, sc in last 4 marked ch-3 lps, join to first sc (11 sc). Ch 1, do not turn. Remove markers.
(Note: You will now work again in rnds instead of rows.)
RNDS 13-21: sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (11 sc). Ch 1, do not turn. At end of Rnd 21, do not ch 1, do not turn.
RND 22: Working in back lp of sts for this rnd only (front lps rem unworked), sk joining sc, sl st in next 3 sc, sc in next sc, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next sc, sc in next sc, sl st in last 4 sc, join to first sl st. Finish off, weave in ends.
NECK EDGE
With right side and bottom of skirt ruffle facing you, using size E hook, join white to first ch at left neck edge, ch 1. (Sc, ch 2) in same ch as joining, * sk next ch, (sc, ch 2) in next ch; rep from * across to last 2 chs, sk next ch, sc in last ch
(8 ch-2 lps). Finish off, weave in ends.
BACK TRAIN With back neck edge of dress facing you, counting around to your left, sk first 30 unworked lps at dropped waist from Skirt Row 1. Using size G hook, join white to next lp, ch 1.
ROW 1: (Sc, ch 2) in same lp as joining and next 9 lps to back opening. Continuing across back opening, (sc, ch 2) in next 9 lps, sc in next lp (leaving front 20 lps unworked for Front Skirt Top Ruffle) (19 ch-2 lps). Ch 2, turn.
ROW 2: (Sc, ch 2) in first 18 ch-2 lps, sc in last ch-2 lp (19 ch-2 lps). Ch 2, turn.
ROWS 3-50: (Sc, ch 2) in first 18 ch-2 lps, sc in turning ch-2 lp from beg of previous row (19 ch-2 lps). Ch 2, turn. At end of Row 50, ch 3 (in place of ch 2), turn.
ROW 51: (Sc, ch 2) in first 18 ch-2 lps, sl st in next sc, sk turning ch-2 lp (19 ch-2 lps). Ch 3, turn.
ROWS 52-62 (short rows for tapered bottom): Sk first ch-2 lp, (sc, ch 2) in each rem ch-2 lp across, sl st in next sc, sk turning ch-3 lp. Ch 3, turn. At end of Row 62, there will be 7 ch-2 lps. Ch 1 (in lace of ch 3), turn. (Right side will be facing you.)
RUFFLE (for Back Train and Front Top of Skirt)
(Note: Mark first sc of Rnd 1 and move marker to beg of each rnd.)
RND 1: (Sc, ch 2) in each of 7 ch-2 lps across bottom of train, (sc, ch 2) in each of 6 ch-3 lps across right tapered edge, (sc, ch 2) in each of 26 ch-2 lps at row ends (every other row) up right side of train to dropped waist, (sc, ch 2) in first unworked lp at front of skirt from Skirt Row 1, * sk next lp, (sc, ch 2) in next lp; rep from * 8 times more, sk last lp, (sc, ch 2) in each of 26 ch-2 lps at row ends down left side of train to tapered edge, (sc, ch 2) in each of 5 ch-3 lps across left tapered edge, join to first sc (80 ch-2 lps). Do not ch, do not turn.
RNDS 2-7: Using size G hook throughout, rep Skirt Bottom Ruffle Rnds 3-8.
DRESS FINISHING
STEP 1: Sew 4 sets silver hooks and eyes to back dress opening: one set at natural waist, one set at top of bodice, one set halfway between, and one set at neck. (If using hook and loop tape, do not sew hooks and eyes. Do not apply tape at this time.)
STEP 2 (Beadstring Trims):
- Starting at back neck opening, hot glue (or sew) a 3-3/4-in. piece of 4 mm white iridescent pearl beadstring across neck between Neck Row 1 (sc row) and neck edging, ending at opposite back neck opening. (For proper fit, stretch neck as you glue or sew to fit 3 3/4 in. beadstring length.)
- Hot glue (or sew) a 10-in. piece of 4mm pearl beadstring from right back bodice top opening across back right bodice top, over right shoulder at top of sleeve, across front bodice top, over left shoulder, and across left back bodice top to left back opening. Trim beadstring even with back edge.
- Starting at underarm, hot glue (or sew) a 2-1/2-in. piece of pearl beadstring around bottom edge of sleeve, centering one pearl at sleeve point. Rep for other sleeve. Trim beadstring as necessary.
- Starting at back opening, not glue (or sew) an 8-1/2-in. piece of beadstring around dropped waist above ruffle, ending at opposite back opening. Trim beadstring as necessary.
- Starting at side of dropped waist, hot glue (or sew) a 39-in. piece of beadstring around train just inside ruffle, ending at opposite side of dropped waist. Trim beadstring as necessary.
- Starting and ending at center back, hot glue (or sew) an 18-in. piece of beadstring around top of Skirt Bottom Ruffle. Trim beadstring as necessary. Set dress aside.

STEP 4 (Bustle): Cut a 30-in. piece of 3/8-in. white satin ribbon. Starting and ending on right side, skipping first 5 and last 5 ch-2 lps, weave ribbon through center 8 ch-2 lps of Train Row 15. Pull ribbon ends even. Tie ribbon tightly into a 3-1/2-in. bow. Trim ends on an angle and let ends hang down back of train. Hot glue one glittered leaf to each side of bustle under bow. Hot glue 4 glittered roses in a cluster to center of bow. (Refer to photo.)
STEP 5: Tie a 1-in. bow in center of each of two 20-in. pieces of white satin ribbon. Hot glue one glittered rose to center of each bow. Hot glue one bow with rose to each side of train just behind point where dropped waist beadstring meets top of train beadstring. Trim ends on an angle and let ends hang down side of train. Set dress aside.
STEP 6: Take shoes off 15-in. doll. Put on tights and replace shoes. Place dress on doll. If using hook and loop tape, place a 3-1/2-in. piece of tape, hook side only, against center back of doll with hooks facing out. Press center back dress edges against tape firmly to close.
STEP 7: Hot glue (or sew) front skirt top ruffle to skirt about 1-in. below dropped waist beadstring and 1-in. in front of each side of train beadstring (to avoid front ruffle flaring).
STEP 8: Hot glue one glittered rose to center front bodice just below beadstring.
HEADPIECE
Starting at center of crown with white and size E hook, ch 30. Being careful not to twist ch length, join to first ch to form a circle, ch 1.
RND 1 (right side): (Sc, ch 3) in same ch as joining, * sk next ch, (sc, ch 3) in next ch; rep from * around to last ch, sk last ch, join to first sc (15 ch-3 lps). Do not ch, do not turn.
RND 2: (Sl st, ch 1, sc, ch 3) in first ch-3 lp, (sc, ch 3) in each rem ch-3 lp around, join (15 ch-3 lps). Finish off.
RND 3: With right side still facing you, working in starting chs around inside edge of headpiece, rejoin white to joining ch, ch 1. Rep Rnd 1. Finish off, weave in all ends.
HEADPIECE FINISHING
STEP 1: Starting and ending at back joining seam, hot glue (or sew) a 7-1/2-in. piece of beadstring over beg chs around center of headpiece. (For a better fit, stretch headpiece slightly as you glue or sew to fit 7-1/2-in beadstring length. Set headpiece aside.
STEP 2: Cut stems off white ribbon roses. Spray roses with spray glue and sprinkle with iridescent fine glitter. Let dry. Shake off excess glitter.
STEP 3: Hot glue the 5 glittered roses evenly spaced around headpiece over beadstring.
VEIL

STEP 1: Round the corners of a 20x20-in. piece of white tulle. Sew an 80-in. piece of 1/2-in. white flat lace with scalloped edge around entire outside edge of tulle piece.
STEP 2: Fold veil (with wrong sides tog) so that 2 bottom edges are 4-in. apart at center (see Figure). Mark center point of top folded edge. Measure 5-1/2-in. from center point toward each side and mark with pins.
STEP 3: With sewing needle and white thread, run a gathering st between pins through both tulle layers, a 1/4-in. down from folded edge. Pull gathers until width between pins is 1-in. Remove pins. Secure and trim thread ends.
STEP 4: Pass gathered section of veil through top of headpiece. With joining seam of headpiece to the back, sew gathered section of veil with shorter layer to the top to inside front of headpiece, centered behind front rose. Set aside.
STEP 5: Tie a 12-in. piece of white satin ribbon tightly into a 2-in. bow around ponytail rubber band. Trim ribbon ends on an angle.
STEP 6: Place headpiece securely on head, centering front rose. (Optional: Secure headpiece to doll? head with one white bobby pin on each side.)
BOUQUET
BASE
Leaving an 8-in. starting length (for tying bouquet to doll’s hand) with white and size E hook, ch 5. Join with sl st to first ch to form a circle, ch 1.
RND 1 (right side): Work 7 sc into center of circle, join to first sc (7 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
(Note: Mark first sc of each rem rnd as before.)
RND 2: (Sc, ch 3) in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (7 ch-3 lps). Do not ch, do not turn.
RND 3: (Sl st, ch 1, sc, ch 4) in first ch-3 lp, (sc, ch 4) in each rem ch-3 lp around, join (7 ch-4 lps). Do not ch, do not turn.
RND 4: (Sl st, ch 1, sc, ch 5) in first ch-4 lp, (sc, ch 5) in each rem ch-4 lp around, join (7 ch-5 lps). Finish off leaving an 8-in. end (for tying bouquet to hand). Remove marker.
BOUQUET FINISHING
(Note: In all gluing steps, be careful not to glue 8-in. yarn ends.)
STEP 1: With tapestry needle, weave 8-in. finishing end of bouquet base through wrong side sts to center of base close to 8-in. starting length. Let ends hang.
STEP 2: Cut 3 large white leaves off stems. Working as before, spray the 3 leaves and 12 white roses on stem with spray glue and sprinkle with iridescent glitter. Let dry and shake off excess glitter.
STEP 3: Insert stems of 12 glittered roses into right side of bouquet base center hole. Hot glue rose stems in base hole, and cut stems even with bottom of hole. Hot glue leaves evenly spaced around right side of base under roses.
STEP 4: Cut 2 20-in. pieces of 3/8-in. white satin ribbon. Tie center of each ribbon into a 3-in. now. Hot glue one bow directly above the other at underside of bouquet base near stems at front of bouquet. Trim ribbon ends on an angle and let ends hang down.
STEP 5: Hot glue ends of a 9-in. piece of beadstring tog, side by side (making a lp). Rep with 2 more 9-in. pieces of beadstring. Hot glue ends of beadstring lps to underside of bouquet base: one lp on each side and close to bows and one lp to center of bows, letting beadstring lps hang down.
STEP 6: Using 8-in. yarn ends from bouquet base, tie bouquet to doll’s right wrist. Trim yarn ends.
